Damaged Goods is a pitch black comedy on a serious subject featuring a lonely executive who takes her hopeless would-be rapist hostage without fully thinking it through. What ensues is a sometimes explosive, always psychological and hysterical interaction b/w two seemingly different people with exact opposite objectives: she's extracting her revenge, he's trying to break free. Yet through it all, they manage to peel away the layers of the situation to reveal their comman humanity.

The film is set against the sweltering beauty of the Texas countryside, at a family ranch estate of a well-to-do family. The return of Letty, a successful artist living in NewYork, upsets the facade of balance in her family. Letty(Karen Silas), a strong-willed, free spirited woman, had long before left her sister behind ignoring her parents expectations. Sister Kay (Heidi Swedberg) stayed behind, married the ranch foreman and gave up her dream of becoming a singer. With her marriage on the rocs, it is only a matter of time before her jealousy and unhappiness brings the family to a boil, exposing secrets that cross generations and leave no one unaffected.

Wade Hampton finds himself trapped. After fifteen mind-numbing years on a factory assembly line, he finally snaps. He walks away from his job, his family, his entire life - to drive to Jerome, AZ to become an artist. He teams up with the free-spirited Jane, a symbol of everything he longs for.
